Wow, sign me up! Gman grow that thing out a little faster lol!

It's been a few hours now and I've already seen some interesting behavior.

This fish can't seem to choose between behaving like a Pangasiidae or a Pimelodidae

I know it's still acclimating to the tank, but sometimes it hides behind the powerheads resting on the sand, then other times it's trying to swim non stop, while hiding behind the intake tube just below the surface of the water.

There was an appx 6" line of pellets at the water line right before lights out, a few minutes later (after the PRTC did a skim of the entire tank) the pellets were gone and it is a very very fat and happy fish.

At the LFS, some were resting on a sponge filter in the tank, and others were swimming around the water column in a frenzy. Luckily, the employee swooped one of the active ones! :D

More pics tomorrow. ;)

Here is a pic of the hybrid, for sale in Japan. There is more info under the pic towards the bottom.

Talk about your ultimate food source for aquaculture combining one of the largest south american catfish with the largest asian catfish species. If the hybrid isn't fragile (and I assume it isn't based on other catfish hybridizations I've seen) it will be a good food staple if used for that. ~Trent

That on you posted is a Irridescent Shark X Tiger Shovel Nose.
