Parrot hybrid, what do you guys think.

Convict x BP makes a terribly drab fish. The fish, that people say, are jelly beans, are just short pink cons. There are NO Con x BP's flooding the market. Like I said. It produces a quite un attractive fish....Go to the BP forum and read up on jelly beans....

You said he was not deformed like the others, I am guessing you mean in the head and face, so this is a parrot con hybrid, these are very common, I I have an extreamly hard time beleiving that someone would take the time to line breed cons like that when it is so easy to cross cons and parrots.

If you feed him parrot pellets or those tetra color crisps or any high vitamin C content food he will turn orange. Thats what happened to all of my jelly beans, they look just as orange as any BP.

You are incorrect...The pink version of my fish is what they call "jelly beans"....It is 100% convict.

Spizz is right, there is absolutely no BP blood in jelly beans. Yours turned orange because they're female, and female cons get orange coloration. Blood parrots aren't some dwarf breed, they consist of Midas and Synspilum. Crossing BP with another fish will get you mostly longer bodied large fish, due to the parentage of the BP.

I may be wrong but my jellybeans were white base with green and blue (dyed color) when I got them , their shape is 100% parrot, and the jellybeans stay small, The original parrots get much larger.

Ohk not to stir or nething but the guy said in one of his posts that it has a small mouth like a bp but cn still eat the cichlid sticks.. To me that sort of said it had some bp in it
