I recently picked up this bold little guy from my LFS, and he's doing very well with my other fish - there's only one problem: I don't know if he'll grow out of my tank or not. I'm hoping he isn't an Armatus, and I'm hoping for the Scomb... Any help with the IDing of my new carnivorous friend? Sorry for the bad quality; I tried to provide you guys with enough photo fodder. Hehe. Thanks!DSCN2914.jpg DSCN2915.jpg DSCN2909.jpg DSCN2917.jpg DSCN2923.jpg DSCN2924.jpg DSCN2926.jpg DSCN2929.jpg

It’s swimming at a angle, behind the gill plate is a humeral spot, tail is smaller and not red as it’s adipose fin. The end of the tails doesn’t have a white lining.

Yes and the black dots on its chest and scombs have a very small tail fin compared to the other two payara species.

Oh - one more question - some sources tell me that scombs only get 13 inches or so, and others tell me... 30... Is it something in between (not accounting for the whole dies off at 11 or so inches thing)? Also, will he try to eat that Hujeta Gar that's in the pictures with him...? kno4te kno4te K krichardson ? Sorry for dragging this on.
