What's baffling too is all the plecos are alright

A pleco can go without water changes and temp at below zero and still livespecially common pleco's never die. Ive had fish died in the past and my pleco is always the only survivor. But also i would stop doing changes as in taking off filters then putting them on since it can also be stressing out the fish

Maybe the Fx5 is not churning the waters surface as much as the AC110 does.

Turn it back on and point the spouts upwards so that water splashes against the glass lid.

Keep the Airpumps running.

these aren't common plecos two royals one green phantom and one candy stripe. They're all still alive this morning respirating hard near the top. I didn't get to I investigate further because I had to leave for work.

Found one dead today, no external signs of physical sypmtoms, all are still breathing hard and not eating, acting nothing like they usually do. I did another 50% water change today using water conditioner.
