PC question

Thanks for the help everybody. I went with my original plans execpt for the case and I doubled the RAM. Haven't got a chance to do much yet but just from transfering files and powering up and down the pc there is a huge improvement.

I saw the ill effects over locking had on Bender so I'm probably gonna avoid that but I like having the option since my interests often change in the blink of an eye.

the combo is definitely dated but the video card is still pretty nice. since it was a replacement of major components i did a complete format and reload. i do that about once a year just for gp so no i didn't have to repurchase but i did do the reload / reverify. i also switched to open office years ago for home use. i don't have problems with virus's or anything like that so its probably not even needed. the kids machine - thats a whole different thread!!
