Hi. I’m thinking about picking up a baby peacock bass (he’s about 3 inches right now) to put in my monster fish indoor pond, but he is too small. I plan on keeping him in a 10 gallon until he can move up to a 55, then a 75 and then the pond. What are your thoughts?

If he is alone, I think you could start in the 55 provided he has adequate cover.

Get the 75g. By the time an upgrade is needed. You’ll be needing a bigger tank too. Less time in between tanks also.

What is in the indoor pond and how big are they? I think a good idea would be to either buy the 75 like kno4te had said, or to get a large tub for it

Sounds like a good plan to me. Sounds like you already have all the tanks and pond so should go smoothly, I've raised a lot of baby bass in 10 gallons and moved them up to larger tanks up to 300 gallons. If you don't have the 55 and 75 then I would start with something larger.

I have all of the tanks included in my plan (the 10,the 55, and the 75). There are a few pacu, a small (1 foot) jaguar cichlid, a clown knife and a red tail cat in the pond btw.

Well then go ahead and use if u got it. Easy upgrade for u. Especially the pond.
