Yah but some of the stuff on my car isnt really ever posted for sale around here so if they tried to sell anything from my car it would be easy to spot.
As for lojack... eh its $800 I didnt even put $500 into mine most of the stuff I got was free from really nice friends.

Plus like Jed said most of the time Lojack finds what is left of the car b/c it wont activate untill you call them and tell them its gone.

my dad got his 4 runner recovered in one piece because of his lo jack, report it stolen ASAP!!!!

There not to hard to find junk yards get them in pretty often, they just go quick. Plus alot of part outs and stuff around here so its not that uncommon, but yah I think I am buying another one, I am not the type of person who is going to let someone ruin my fun b/c they want to take things from me. I am ordering a bunch of stuff to the point that theyd have to work so hard to get my car they prob wont bother.

As for my car no word yet and no phone call yet. I might call later and see but I doubt they have any updates, i dont think they are really looking for it.

And, no the police don't generally 'look' for stolen cars. It's more like run the plate on a stop (or PV) get a hit. Cars can sit in parking lots for weeks until someone calls them in as abandoned (owner of the property i.e. Publix). Some departments have 'Plate Readers' a camera system that reads every plate the officers passes, then runs the plates through DMV & alerts the officer. That assumes the plate is still on the car.

My town has one car with a reader & nearly 50 cars. get the paperwork to insurance (assuming you have theft), and move on. Good luck on the new car shopping.

Its hard to report a car stolen when you are sleeping and you find out like 5 hours later. Its take an hour give or take to pull the engine if your good at it. Usually they take it, pull the motor and by morning when your waking up its a stripped shell sitting somewhere.

im gonig to be looking at security systems for my car, since its my lifeline for the moment, i cant afford to lose it, but at the same time im going to be cost effective about it.

Yah you never know with how people are, how little respect and morals alot of them have these days, be careful. =] Make sure when you installyour security systems... you hid them well b/c theives can use relays to get around them, they can bypass easily and they usually know all the popular spots people hid them

1. sorry about the car girl,when i was young i stole a few RIP magazines from thrifty s and a few chewing tobacco packs.I was like 14 and i didnt think much of it because the store just lost a little profit for all i knew.Then friends i had started going after stereos or other personal stuff and i ditched those guys quick.Our house got robbed 2 times when i was like 9 so i saw how it made my family feel having their hard earned stuff messed with .I saw others growing up loosing things too and the heart ache it brought them.I dont know what makes ppl not care that what they are taking can hurt somebody so bad.Like you say its not just the car,its the moments the car brought to your life,but you can make new moments with a different one so best wishes and good luck.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

If I walk outside and my car is stolen...I'll wait a few hours and make sure it's long gone. I don't want it back after some scum has screwed with it.

That's why I carry insurance. Just take the cash and buy something else.
