One of my friends just had her car stolen about a month ago. Some Jack Arse stole it and spray painted her white rims black. The cops found it the same night she called. She just got back from a one week trip and came home to a missing car. Guess whoever stole was thinking of keeping her car since they/he painted the rims black:screwy:

Why are these cars such favorites of thieves?

I don't want to discourage hope, but those are one of the most commonly stolen cars. They are usually stolen for the engines for turbo civic swaps. My friend's was stolen a few weeks ago from his driveway.

but she has stock engines.

From what I know about the import world, The B18 is one of the most desired motors in honda building. From what I hear, they are almost impossible to find in a junk yard.

Not almost....they are impossible to find.

There not to hard to find junk yards get them in pretty often, they just go quick. Plus alot of part outs and stuff around here so its not that uncommon, but yah I think I am buying another one, I am not the type of person who is going to let someone ruin my fun b/c they want to take things from me. I am ordering a bunch of stuff to the point that theyd have to work so hard to get my car they prob wont bother.

As for my car no word yet and no phone call yet. I might call later and see but I doubt they have any updates, i dont think they are really looking for it.

sorry but, if you invested all that time and money to work on yourself and it sounds like it really was your baby,............... should've invested in lowjack

Car thieves are some of the most lowlife scumbags around. My mr2T is getting equipped with LoJack this summer, but then again, parting out a rather uncommon mid 90's toyota with a relatively tiny following is completely different than parting out a honda with interchangeable parts that can be sold off within minutes.
