you man .. you have bashed me on more the 3 of my threads and you know you have done it .. trying to act like its only you im talking about you missed the majority of what i was saying . but act holy and all that jazz because thats exactly what people hate .. 90% of people see things one way ..you had it work another .. your way is not god .. but you fight and fight to show that it is true .. even if it worked for you that does not mean that it will for everyone .. but when 25 other people say .. use this other stuff .. cost the same .. works the same .. and we all used it .. why not just go the easy proven way .. and not YOUR way .. since you are the only one ...

you have been rude .. thats all i was saying .. so have i .. so have most people .. and what im saying is that it needs to stop so that the real goal can be met .. or at least chilled down a bit .. and i think even you will agree with that ..

I do think you may have missed the entire point of my interaction in that thread that got you all fired up. But thats old news that I layed to rest months ago.

I agree with the rudeness. Everyone has there days

I think everyone just needs to learn to ignore things that they do not like or agree with. And don't point fingers and call names.

If a thread asks for opinions then give yours if you wish and move along. Don't drop in and make rude remarks about someones lack of spelling or the color or size of there typing and all that meaning less stuff we all see alot of. Just ignore it and move along.

Having a newb sub-forum or similar is definately a bad idea. You will probably find that advanced keepers wont want to go into the newb forum to answer the questions... thus it would end up just a bunch of newbs bouncing ideas off each other.

We have some useful stickies in the stingray forum, although I do feel they are lacking.

I have found in other forums (not fish related or anything) that a sticky index page works really well.

A sticky which members can post suggestions of particularly useful and helpful threads of tank/pond builds, filtration systems, tankmates etc etc...

This way, by reading the stickies you arnt just getting one persons opinion, but various member views and opinions, that are applicable to the question on your mind

Hope this makes sense?

Wow... I just read thru this thread because I thought it might be fun....big mistake.

I to have had some negative feedback over my endeavers but... who cares. Most people are just trying to help and why take offense at something someone says who you've never met and are never gonna meet. I do agree it is frustrating when someone shoots you down without giving you the benefit of a possible solution and on the other side if someone chooses not to take your advice... who cares... it's their money.

One point is we all invest as much into this hobby as we can afford to and to be honest fish from the lfs are small and most take years to mature and if someone buys a smaller tank because that is the most they can afford to begin with then we should be cheering them on not immediately telling so and so that they should have spent another pile of cash on a tank their fish will need two or three years down the road.

The whole point of this hobby is to relax. I sit a little while in my lazy boy every evening and watch the fish.

Personally I thought that this forum was built for everyone in the world to be a part of?I think the problem is that people who have been doing this for years has forgotten that they did not have the answers to everything when they first started out,be it a Walmart fish or a $2000.00 stingray. Most people forget were they come from and instead of using the information and insight that they have gained threw years of trial and error to help even the newest of new they just fell that THEY are waisting there time.Dont forget how many times did U have to ask the same question.

Everyone has something to offer this site and it is wrong to say that beginners should have a separate forum because some of you are annoyed with seeing the same questions over and over.

If you don't like it then don't look!

It is BS to say you are "compelled" to help out of concern for the animal.

If you REALLY cared then you would offer some good advice and then walk away.

As long as human beings have freedoms, some will use them in ways that you do not like. An example of this is someone who will aquire an animal and not know beforehand how to keep them.

I am on your side on this, if you think that they shouldn’t have them. But they have the right to have them, and people like that will aquire them whether you feel good about it or not. That is a direct consequence of freedom.

Ultimately, this leaves you with a decision to make. How will you treat those who have the animals and know not yet how to care for them? Be careful, for if you scold them they may never come to you again for help, and not only will their animals be worse off but it will prevent others from coming to you with questions.

If you are open, caring, and patient, you open the door for some change. No, not everything may change, and neither is it certain. Just think about the probabilities. If you stay calm and do your best to provide good information you have the best chance to affect a positive change.

Give them time; even the worst ones may one day pleasantly suprise you.
