LOL,I dont even remember how old he was when we got him but he was'nt a small kitten size when we brought him home.I have'nt seen the training kits in the stores in quite a while.Austin;3574960; said:exactly! how old was he when you started?

Automatic boxes are considered bad for cats who aren't absolutely perfect about box usage. Anything that can startle the cat when it's using the box, like a mistimed motion sensor for the raking arm, may cause the cat to avoid the box thereafter. I've even read that having the box near things that can make sudden noises (like a washing machine with a buzzer) is a bad idea.
I scoop twice a day with the Litter Locker, and it's not much hassle at all.
Honestly, though, I can't say that being forced to be extra tidy has hurt me.
