If u want to do something diff and oddball.. try Lei arowana.. cousin of jardini..

A 240 gallon would be nice with almost any arowana.... as long as its 2ft width.. 24" is good for any giant size arowana really.. even silvers..

In terms of aggression.. u can mix silvers and blks together.. but not so much the latter jardini and lei are harder to mix.. should you choose to do more than one arow in your tank..

I am going to have to disagree. I think your able to put a silver or a black in a 240, but it will not thrive. For life, you need 350+ gallons for a silver or black in my opinion. Id go for a jardini.

you would wanna consider that having a jardini would result into a limited tank mate. you don't wanna waste those extra space would you? i recommend a silver or black.

i would like to have a few plecos in there but the aro would be the most important thing so if i have to go with just one fish in the tank that will be fine too

I agree, a 240 may last for quite a while. Eventually a 30" plus silver or black aro deserves to be in a larger tank, and wouldn't recommend anything under 30" wide.

Yes jar would very good, silver would also work. But it all depends on what you also want to keep in it.

hey how far are you from memphis or nashville?

im about an hour away from memphis. I would say a Jar, or a lei would be perfect. If your pockets are deep enough get a black.
