I've heard geese make awesome pets, if raised from goslings...
If I were to get (or hatch ) a baby swan, would it do well?
Only reason I was hoping for a swan, is they are quiet, and seem like they'd have a fun personality if you raised them since birth..
anyone have any ideas?

I beleave they will do well like moust domestic foul:confused: Dont forget swans are kind of uncofortable out of the water, so you must have a garden pond in order to have them;)

Yes, if you hatch the egg yourself they will imprint on you. But if you buy a newly hatched baby it won't. And if you want a quite swan then look at Mute Swans.

Moreso than geese? I was hoping it would be something that would walk around, and do stuff out of water.
Unfortunatly, google was of NO help in that respect.

Mutes are what I was thinking about. :)

Are pet swans even legal in Socal?

go for it

I will if I can find eggs, or very young chicks, its legal, and it'll make a decent pet..I kinda don't want a 4 foot tall swan that attacks me running around. :)
