Petco guys

It's not the employees fault they were given bad info by corporate in their training sessions, it's your fault when you didn't look things up yourself when you should know better.
 
There is such a vast amount of info that is needed in this hobby it's just plain stupid not to research on our own. Especially with the vast amount of mis-information out there. If you are relying on only a single source for info, then you deserve all the headaches that follow.
 
ha ha they hire 16 and 17 year olds at mine i asked one what kinda fish they had the told me that they never have had one and thought fish were gross funny cause they were head of fish dept

For reals
They had clown knifes in a local petco I asked how big they got
(to see if they knew) the guy said he didn't know but that he got a ten gallon for his because they looked soo cool :/
Then I needed a pair of guppies so I said can you get me 2 females and a male,the other girl said " ok ill get three of them right now she got 3 males i asked are you sure theyll breed she said I think they change sex one will become a male and the others will become females omg I was laughing soooooo freaken hard in my head lol didn't want to be rude,but man they do have 18 and 17 year olds,but the worst part is when I went to get some meds more my ladies kitten I got for her on mothers day,and I had some questions about diff meds.. to answer my questions they had to stop and read out loud all the directions and this was the person in charge the one who knew everything about cats
!!!! Hahahaha they suck

I don't see how age matters. Misinformed and ignorant come in all ages. Drives me crazy when 40 year olds think they can dump 20 baby oscars in a 20 gallon tank in one afternoon and they know better than me because obviously I'm young and won't know what I'm talking about with this 'cycling your tank' nonsense. Hey, they must know better, hell a cichlid in their care lived a whole 3 months! Thing died of old age they said.

very true was short sighted of me to say lol today i had a guy from pet co tell i could put a red ear slider in a tank with guppys because they were strictly herbivores the guy was around 40 my 5 year daughter set him straight tho lol
 
who ever said it earlier couldn't be more right ppl need to do there resurch before they buy fish would stop lot heart break and my be petco might not get so rich
