honestly $4 for a fish is nothing. try spending $20, $30, $50 to $100 for a fish. if you dont like the prices id try going somewhere else and compare. i dont shop at petco for fish or supply. i support my few lfs. but i do go to petsmart for my aquaclear filters. go online and printup their online price and go into petsmart to get a online price match... and for hiding places, i dont see none. id add and stack rocks. that should help.

But you bought them anyways so enjoy your fish....... If you thought $9 was too much for a fish then look for the sign with the red letters E.X.I.T....

For rock work see if there is a garden supply place locally... I get really nice flat tank-safe rocks for twenty to thirty cents per pound...

hahaha. i go to rcp to get my rocks too. they sell by the bulk so your paying pennies for a pound. let me guess you went to the rcp off the 54 freeway right across from walmart? they always got the nice formed lavas!

yup! right across from walmart and target! =] i love it. i got all that for $7 and at petco they were selling like a 10lb piece for $34.
