I got into bichirs because I bought a healthy senegal from a petsmart. Now I got a 90 gallon which is being upgraded to 300X full of ornate endli's delhezi and sens ofcourse.

I have seen petsmart with albino senegalus many times but at my local fish store he has loads of albino senegalus and no one buys them he said once this batch of fish go he will not stock them as much.

One store had them before, I don't think they sold well the Sens at my store don't sell (except when i buy one) When people buy polys as "eels" they need to know what they're getting into. (as with all fish *Pacu*)

lol it was a informative day when I bought a "dinosaur eel" .... Then read about it. Then noticed all my zebra danio's were missing. Oh well id do it all over again.

hey, I'm a groomer at a petsmart but I've seen our order/shipping forms and our suppliers don't even HAVE arowana... you sure its not petCO you're talking about?? or perhaps a canadian store?

And to set the record straight, I've been working for petsmart for 3.5 years, when I first started working there they had albino senegalus as a "special item" but discontinued them since they weren't selling maybe a month after I started...

NO, and fish are shipped automatically by the company these days, so nothing we've ever carried before can be special ordered, if they decide to try something new, they send it, if not, we don't carry it.

As for our fish staff... i guess it varies from store to store and from peon to peon...
