Petsmart dirty secret?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the clip might be unappealing, but with PETA involved, you know it is still just political propaganda and not taken at pure face value.

that video made me quiver and the PETA thing...i completely agree with you guys

I know PETA might be making it seem worse then it really is but i mean one vid shows a turkey farmer violently bashing random turkeys with a stick and then leaves them crawling to die with broken bones and internal injuries on the floor... i dont believe this is all fake if u know what i mean...

PETA.....says enough. They are so stupid. They target the final handler (petsmart), instead of the people of cause (rainbow). Even with that being said, Rainbow is no different than any other breeders. I've managed in the petstore industry, and the "packaging" of those animals was exactly the same as everywhere we got our animals. They try to stress the few deaths that occur, but when you're handling 10's of thousands of animals, you're going to have a few deaths. I will say, I totally disagree with the force breeding, and the surgery areas buuuut.....the supposed "stomped" hamster WALKED AWAY as the scene changed....and all small animals like that are canibalistic (and you're going to miss a dead hamster now and again).

HERE'S MY REAL PROBLEM: That damn lady was an EMPLOYEE of Rainbow. That means she had responsibilities there. Those responsibilities probably included WATCHING FOR DEAD ANIMALS like the ones she taped!, WATCHING AND CARING FOR SICK ANIMALS!, and anything else that fell under the category of the s**t she was taping and bi***ing about! My guess is with PETA's rep, she probably placed some of the things she taped. That video has absolutely no relevance to me, and it shouldn't to anyone else...... :irked::irked:

yeah peta is just looking to show animals being hurt... yeah it happens but they make things seem a lot worse then they are

I'm trying to get it to load right now, but I have a few things to add.

I agree, if she's their employee, I don't see why she wasn't doing anything about the conditions. I also find it hard to believe that the other employees would let her tape that crap without asking her why she was doing it.

Most rabbit breeders I've been to, keep their rabbits in -dare I say it- WIRE CAGES!! our local fair even has wire cages for the exhibit animals!! Compared to other issues, that seems pretty low on the list to me.

As soon as I read PETA it lost all credibility.

I agree. Besides that fact, if you think that animals are the primary concern of most pet distributors, you would be wrong. Money is their primary concern.
