??? What is min wage now, in high school I was damn proud to make $6.50 and hour and when I got a raise to $7.50 I was rich. I'm only 24.

its 7.25 i think, not quite getting hit that hard fortunately - gotta think though, 8 years ago a lot of stuff was cheaper, gas and food mostly

Very True, also didn't have this damn fish hobby sucking up all my money either, LOL. Life in those days was so much easier, so I say this to all the kids that hate school. "Kids, stay in School, as long as you can, by any means"

NC, I got another question for you, do you guys sell all the pacu you get in weekly/bi weekly, if not what do you do with the fish as they grow (actually this question goes for all species). Not a seeded question, just something I've wandered about.

I would imagine, when people do buy these animals, they pick the "biggest one" so that prevents that from happening?

As much as I hate admitting this, you're both wrong. I've literally never sold anybody a pacu since I worked there, I just refuse to. But there's a sad truth, almost all of the pacu we get in die.

I've got a theory that petsmart fish breeders/suppliers purposely send in pacu and common plecos with poor immune systems knowing that if these fish die before they get a massive size, there's a higher chance of somebody buying another one or truly believing they'd be fine in a 75 or 55 gallon tank or whatever crap is spewed on those cards. I think it's funny though, I figured out with pacu and ID sharks only say 75+, it's cuz thats the largest tank most locations stock, haha

im not gonna lie, it did once take me a couple of minutes to get ottos for a lady once, because she wanted 5 different specific ones even though they were all the same size from the same shipment on the day of their arrival a couple millimeters in size difference tops, and the last one kept getting up in a corner where i really couldn't get the fish without smashing it with the net so i'd have to wait for it to move or tap the glass. then again i'm also 6'6 and those lower tanks are enough of a pain anyways :(
