Petsmart jag...

I have gone to all my the LFS in my area and found all the fish I want to stock my 125 with except for a juvi jag... I have found adult specimens but not juvies. I happened to swing by petsmart today (I never go there for livestock, sometimes for filters and such) to get my dog a new collar. I just happened to swing by and check out the livestock and low and behold they had a young managuense.

My ? is, is this fish worth buying or is it going to turn out to be the ugliest jag ever? Or is it going to look OK?

its worth buying ive boughten many mollys and stuff from there and they turned out perfect if they look fine then then they ussually are fine and will turn out fine so the answer is yes its worth buying there shouldnt be a problem with him if there is there is a 14 day return with no water check or anything so u can always return it if it happens to die

well being that it's a petsmart jag it probably doesn't have the petigree for a super show quality jaguar, but it should turn out decent, without knowing the original parents it's impossible to judge how it may turn out. feed a good diet and keep it's tank well mantained and your set.

I bought one for 3.49 couldnt turn the little guy down feeding mine a variety and will be the main fish in my 180 so hoping for the best

Yeah, don't plan on show fish, but only a small percentage of members here do. If you want a jag, there's your jag. I'm extremely happy with the c/sa I've bought there including my red snook (awesome), gt, and jd. I would have gotten a jag from there as well, but they were far to small to add to my tank, so I ended up getting mine elsewhere.

i agree , iv bought fish from petsmart befor and they turned out to be great fish .

The only place that sells jags in my area is Petsmart, the one that I have was brought in to my LFS at around the 8" mark. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he were a petsmart jag and while he might not be show quality I think he's a very handsome fella.

Someone probably bought the Jag at Petsmart then wondered why it got so big and killed all of his trops.

I told the owner of my LFS to call me for first dibbs, if anyone wants to drop off any fish that have outgrown their tanks.
