Petsmart here has been selling them for a few weeks now. Doesn't necessarily mean they are poor quality, like any other 'manufacturing/breeding' process, methods get improved on all the time and the 'product' becomes cheaper, once that happens the chain stores can afford to include them in their stock list.
i like when things are overpriced and hard to find.. imagine everyone driving around a Rolls Royce. they just wouldnt seem that special.

had some here in sw mo in october for 9.99,about 1.5", they were not as blue as the $70 ones at the ma and pa fish store but i figured hey, for 10 bux i will see what happens. they were in their own tank and died within a month. my store hasnt carried them since
The PetSmart here had them in one delivery about 2 months ago. My brother bought them. They haven't had them since that initial shipment. They took the label off the a couple weeks ago tank.
I stopped in Petsmart today, no EBJDs, but did have something new to the store, 3 really nice looking german blue rams. I would have picked them up, but I was just there to look as I have a fish in my quarantine tank right now.
They had em here at a Petsmart near Detroit Mi. But they were done in limited supply. I'm happy with mine that I purchased from a LFS. He's about 7"s, not deformed and looks amazing in person. I bought him when he was 4"s for 35 bucks. Well worth it IMO.
