I agree about the petsmart fish being dirty...putting their fish directly into a show tank is like sleeping with a skanky ho and not using a prophylactic. I bought 4 roseline barbs from them today and put them in a QT tank. We will see how it turns out.
However, a lot of LFS use centrally plumbed systems as well so don;t think just because a fish comes from an LFS that it diesease free. ICH just lies dormant, waiting for fish to become stressed out so I suppose the petsmart employee was correct in a way.
