Petsmart or petco horror stories?

One time I walked into Petco and Petsmart.....and they had fish.....in tanks.....and for sale. I was just horrified.

No! That's awful! Are you ok or scarred for life?

I've generally been fine with my petsmart, but I do have one bad story. A man came in while I was there that didn't seem to be able to speak much English. He proceeded to ask for help and pick out A TON of fish of different kinds (I don't think any were cichlids) and the worker just listened to him and got them from the tanks. If I remember correctly the worker asked him how big the tank was and he muttered 10 gallons. The worker, surprised, looked over at her coworker in shock but didn't do anything about it. I was hoping that maybe she would stop him and try and give him advice, but I think the language barrier may have confused her...
