tonymofo, at the end of the day i get arsey customers like YOU in my LFS where i work, wanting to purchase anything from 4 goldfish to go in a bowl, set up the same day to people wanting to buy goldfish to be feeders for things like lionfish in marine, its cruel and unethical. i simply refuse sales, and then explain to them the lionfish would be perfectly happy eating krill and whitebait, as i demonstrate, as we have them at LFS.

exactly how i feel when someone comes back with a bag full of dead angelfish and says "my tanks been up for a week", and if you say the words nitrogen cycle they will think you are talking about a crazy science experiement.
Whoever said why you take a drug test and all that. Who knows. Oh yeah, I do. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS AN IMAGE. Basically they are like a Abercrombie for pets. Yeah the store looks nicer and people are dressed right, but its just to cover up their lack of quality and difference in product (lack of knowledge and selection at petsmart, lack of quality of clothes and selection at Abercrombie). <== good analogy right?
Just face it they are Wal Mart killing the Mom and Pop fish stores because people want to save a few trivial cents.
ESPECIALLY to people who belong to this website, why would you even shop at PetSmart, good luck getting any arowanas or any special order fish there.

No joke, I tried to sell a ram cichlid to someone for a community aquarium and I got yelled at and was told it had to be sold with convicts and african cichlids, like 4 inch bumblebees. Those would rape rams 20 times to wednesday. I tried telling them (my employer) I keep them with my discus and my tetra in a planted community tank.
Basically we are put there to read the picture id card in front of the fish tank for you. because providing any real help or suggestions would be just terrible.
oh common. you gotta love a store that sells pH up in water so hard alkaline the cloudyness is coused from calcium residue. People watch... thats all I have to say. I think most of the advice I have heard is legit. Do a ****ing water change and stop putting goldfish in bowls sounds good to me.
