I havent tried the dalag with sampaloc and bagoong, but i would like to try it, it sounds good..what do you use the sampaloc leaves or fruit? and does the bagoong go in the pot or is it used like kare kare?

I have tried dalag stewed in ginger, tomatoes, onions and mustasa leaves..yum yum

No just boil the fruit until soft then you take it out of the water and crush it with bagoong

Oh yeah what kind of fish is "yalo"? I know when you take it out of the water its gils opens up and they are kind of sawtooth. Also they are green in coloration and loves staying in teh mud?

damn i miss home

No, it looks more like a chiclid to me. But its lik the snakehead, it can live out of the water for some time by opening up their gills. I know that its green and has some pain in the butt fins that can poke you if you are not careful. Also, they are yummy as well
