Picked up a 535

That's looking suuuuhweet. For variety you could also consider nana petite, that's a favorite attached to wood and hardy as well.

Aside from super glue, I've used brown twisty too to attach plants to driftwood. No, no harm to water or fish. In fact, I learned that from the owner of Zen Aquarium...aquascape focus store in Seattle.
Thank you! I appreciate the tip and will definitely go with that in my manzanita scapes given the smaller girth of those branches vs the Malaysian.

I’m actually looking for other anubias types to mix in. The stores around me only seem to have barteri.

Wonderful tank and enjoyed your build thread... One quick question on the Ultima setup- instead of drilling a hole in the back of the tank (below the water line), would it have been possible to just go down from the top (up and over design) with both the 1.5” intake pipe (scooping poop from bottom) and the then returns? Any issues with that design with ultima close loop setup (trying to avoid drilling waterline below level anywhere other than my overflow...

That should work. In fact, that how I plan to plumb my two Ultima IIs to the main tank and to the sump (will be using an Ultima to return water from the sump to the main tank). I have an aversion to drilling the back and sides of my tanks and choose to drill the top of the tank. I had the tank builder drill eleven holes across the top of my tank to accommodate my mechanical filtration. BTW, vertical poop sucker pipes work extremely well scooping poop off bare floor tanks.

Here are my poop sucker uptakes and returns:

I agree with Pacu Mom. That should work just fine. My tank already had the holes so I made due with what I had.

Ok great - No need to worry about siphon breaks either around water line since closed loop? Thx and congrats on such a successful setup...
