i mmeant the whole set up in one pic.. so i can get an overall view of it.

Oh there's no way to do it. It's in the cabinet so the cabinet doors obstruct the view no matter what and my tank is also located in a narrow hallway so there isn't enough room for me to back up far enough to take a wide shot.

why do you have fish and crawdads in the overflow...im guessing the CD are food for the PB but what about the fish?

They are there to keep the overflow clean. Sometimes bit of food get stuck in the overflows and end up clogging it. So the fish and crayfish keep it clean so the filter always flows smoothly with no hiccups.

wow sounds quite innovative.

Crayfish actually work better in the sump. That way they eat what ever gets through the filter pads.

For the overflows what works best is a smallish fish that doesn't get big and is able to take somewhat turbulent water and can eat in all columns of the water. A good pick are small cichlids like Convicts, Rainbow cichlids, jewel Cichlids, etc etc. A good addition to have in the overflow as well is a bushy nose pleco. They will keep the overflow clean and also eat stuff that the fish miss on the top. They don't get big as well so they will do great. Other small type plecos like the clown plecos are OK but from my observation they don't do as great a job as the bushy noses.
