the pictures in post 25 on this thread are not actually a pimelodu pictus but a pimelodus mysteriosus i have 1 and they get to 7-9" long mine is 8" at the moment, thought id point that 1 out! what does every1else think? go to planetcatfish.com and look up in the catelog and its pics.

Like alot of you guys I never had luck with them either. Ive kept lots of different fish but Pictus as well as the little "bumble bee" and young figure 8 puffers have always given me trouble. They all seem healthy and vigorous one day then bang dead the next.

So I had a blunt reminder that my pictus is a really good predator. My darling fiancee bought me like 30 ghost shrimp to help clean my 55 before we shift over to the 90. He put them in at about 3:00, by the time I got home at 5 we were already down to 17. As of last night we had 1 left. Apparently eamon kept gliding over them and snapping them up. What a cute little pictus!
