Hi

I just got a fly river turtle and it has like a big lump like ulcer on the back of its shell. Can any body tell me what it is or how to treat it?

Get ready to get hammered.. I would just pm ODD BALL.. Hes the man to talk to.. I'd start with some Salt.. But from there i'm lost? BUMP for some Help!!

Yeah it looks like a lump or bump or somthing growing underneath the skin. I've tried drying the sore or lump with a towel treating it with betadine and leaving it out for an hr for 4 days but it seems to be getting bigger. Will take some pics and post it up tommorrow. I have no idea what it is!!! I dont see no fungus on it so ive got no idea.

Without pictures, we won't be able to help, we can guess, but we probably won't know for sure.

Here is the pics of the Fly River Turtle. I don't know what type of disease this is. Can someone tell me what it is and how to treat it? I have been using betadine and leaving it out of the water for an hr. and putting 1 teaspoon rock salt to every 5 liters of water but it does not seem to be working. I was thinking of using melafix next?
