Update. The poor FRT has died this morning. The fungus spot on its neck has ate away most of its bone in its neck.

I buried him this morning!!! So sad but angry at the same time and i was thinking he was getting better! Man if feels like Sh_t when you put in all your effort and the end result is nothing.

sad to see this. you did a very great job. but it was too late and the FRT was too weak. i believe the FRT really appreciate all that you have done for it. my condolences.

but i believe this experience have let you learn a lot about the care of these beautiful creatures. i believe the other 2 FRTs will do very well under your care.

I'm very sorry to hear about this
However, you have done your very best and it's likely the FRT is too weak and the bacteria had spread too far.

You had done your best to save it and I'm sure the FRT appreciates your efforts.

I believe the other 2 FRTs will do well in your care.
Do update on their growth as well

Sorry but as this trip was super rushed, I didn't try contacting you. Managed to go to a few aquariums as my friend happened to be free to drive me around.

Thanks for the info. The reptile lamps are way cheaper compared to Singapore. I didn't pick up any bulbs though because I wanted to see the Zoo-Med ones and I didn't see it. Will be back in September again so I'll wait till then.

Anyway, I was looking at the Hikari Algae Wafers and I'm mortified by the price The smallest pack (smaller than the 250g) is almost AUD 15 The 250g pack in Singapore is SGD 12.

For my water conditioner I use Seachem Prime and I was shocked by the price too!!! It's like around AUD 55 bucks for 500ml!!! In Singapore it's SGD 54 for 2 litres!!!!

I was telling my friend I'll seriously go broke if I move to Oz >.<"

You shouldn't feel bad for the effort you put in as it was well beyond what anyone else would have done and while the results may not have been what you hoped for, your actions says a lot about the quality of care you are capable of. And, that's something to be proud of.
