It still looks bad but because the water is drained down it doesnt have to struggle to get around. It pretty much just rest on the bottom which probably causes it less stress anyhow.

ill give a pic update on it. The lump on its back has pretty much fully recovered but it has other infections on its skin.

How about rock salt? I've been using rock salt ever since.

Rock salt works too
Reason why I said marine salt is coz it's also rich in minerals and in the wild FRTs do go out to sea at times

Updated record. Ever since the feeding the SICK FRT the shell seems to be getting better along with the antibiotic shots. Still not fully recovered but i am starting to slowly see some improvement.

It also seems to be putting on a bit of weight again and shedding a lot of skin from its shell and from its neck area. I wonder once it gets better and i stop tube feeding it if it will eventually eat on its own. Haven't consulted the vet on that yet.
