I would if i could, but this pet is not legal in the city i live. Any other help?

this is not a time to think if its legal or not. i've brought illegal pets to a vet in my country before. rightfully, no matter where u are, the vet should not disclose your information to anyone. this is a commercial rule of customer's privacy. unless over at your side this is not practiced.

back to topic. it seems like ulcer on the shell:

Ulcers: Ulcers of the shell may be superficial or deep, and may be termed "shell rot." Ulcers are generally a result of poor husbandry. Turtles with ulcerative shell lesions should be examined and treated by a veterinarian, as the ulcers may become infected and penetrate through the shell. The shell will need to be cleaned daily, and dead tissue removed. Topical and/or injectable antibiotics are required in the case of bacterial infections. Deep ulcers may need to be repaired through surgery and the application of acrylic or fiberglass material. In a disease called "septicemic cutaneous ulcerative disease," or SCUD, ulcers may be seen on both the shell and legs. This condition is often associated with the bacteria, Citrobacter freundii.

by the way the FRT seems like having stunted growth. (i seriously hope that im wrong on this.) what is its tank size and filtration?

but by the looks of these 2 pics:

I'm pretty sure it's stunted. the shell is too high n SCL is too short for the "big" head of the FRT. the reason I'm saying this is because i have a stunted FRT which i manage to groom it back to health.

Actually I think if it's stunted it's not the immediate problem
That one can be corrected with time and is not life threatening

TS should quickly get the FRT treated for the ulcer.
Maybe find out from your local forum if there is a vet that will treat the problem with discretion

yes. the priority now is to get the ulcers treated before it get worse.

but the living condition of the FRT must also be rectified. if not there will be more health problems for the FRT. once that is rectified, the FRT can also grow up well n healthy.

TS: all of us here seriously hope that your FRT will get well soon and grow up healthily. please do not hesitate to bring it to a vet. go find out a vet that is good with turtles and i really mean turtles. once i brought a tortoise to a vet and that trainee vet kept insisting that my tortoise is a turtle and need water to swim. :WHOA:

It's worst than our FRTs being called Soft Shells or even a Terrapin -_-"

yes. a lot worse than my relatives/visitors insisting that my FRT is a soft shell that is being served as turtle soup here in Singapore.

for a professional to say that kind of thing and argue with me, a person who keep that creature as a pet, how can i not know what that animal is and need?

Coz there are some idiots who dunno what pet they keep >.<"
Sad but true story

Yeah i did an interstate fish swap for the turtle and i got done. Damn!!! The guy never told me it had any problems with it. So yeah im stuck with a problem on my hands. I was keeping it in a 6 by 2.5 by 2.5 tank for 4 days with fine coral sand but have taken it out and put it in the 3x2x2 foot treating tank for 2 days with salt and melafix. Also applying betadine every two days on the spot for treatment. Im gonna see how it goes. Melafix kills bacteria but i know it aint a mericle so gonna give it a shot.
