Pinima wild Caught

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I use hikari bio gold and carnivore sticks. I'm going to try northfin carnivore and see if they like it. If not going with massivore but the only thing it has a strong smell and makes the tank more dirty..

That’s exactly why I use massivore occasionally instead of regularly... bio gold and sticks are much cleaner

I am pretty sure massivore is just a bigger sized pellet of carnivore. Be careful with it though. If you get them hooked on those they won’t want the others. Lol. It’s way more expensive than the bio gold as well. MIne were extremely stubborn and didn’t take pellets for close to 3 months. It was carnivore that finally got them on but they wouldn’t touch anything after that. Not even blood worms.

tcav88 tcav88 how big do the pinima get? They are gorgeous. Maybe some day when I get a big boy tank I will be able to find some. Lol.

Never seen any bigger than 24-26” johnptc had the biggest in his 10k gallon def don’t get as big as tems( 28-36”range)ime never seen one exceed 2ft and that’s even after 5-6 years in 1k plus gallon tanks on drip systems. they do turn yellow as they age so if you put some time in you could have some nice gold Pinima.

TheReefer TheReefer there is a method called eat or die and it works all the time. Its only a matter of time before the fish caves in and takes pellets.
