Agree with the filamentosum ID. Not capapretum for sure. I don't think we have a firmed up knowledge of the locale differences, esp. in smaller fish. Anyone correct me if I am wrong.
One thing I vaguely remember is that Brazil filas tend to have the spotting in the rear half when small.
Another thing is Suriname lose the spots much earlier than Peru, usually by 1.5'-2'.
That's all off the top of my head.
There are some filas from Guyana too in the hobby.
A while ago I created a thread asking those who owned these fish to state their observations (for Chicx's write up). Got almost no feedback, except from

but his observations, while interesting and worthwhile, have not been confirmed or refuted by anyone yet. Perhaps the time has come to resurrect the thread.
