Yea I normally do bare bottom. It was just to hard to get the eggs without getting sand. Soon as they are swimming without the lazy float on the bottom I will get the sand out of there...
Doing pretty good doing 2 wc a day one in morning one at night around 1-1/2 to 2 gallons at a time.. Here's a update vid from the other day.. Enjoy oh and please forgive the gum chewing in the background...lol

Use airline tubing to clean bottom. You can spot clean and finger the end if fry get close or get sukd up. They'll fall right back in tank if you stop the flow. You can put netting over the end also. Filter sponge over hob intake is the way to go.

When you say filter sponge over hob intake? Give me a idea... Like run a hob with filter sponge over the intake or use a intake tube with filter sponge in it.. Now if I do the second how do I get the food and stuff cause wouldn't it just clog up the sponge?

Hob filter with fluval prefilter sponge over intake tube. Buy a couple. Switch in clean one everyday, clean dirty one for next day. Can use these over siphon hose also. Use rubberband if needed.
 
Here's a update vid of the first batch I moved half to my fry tower. So far so good had a some die off but nothing to bad enjoy and once again thanks for all the good info and help

And I know it's time to clean... I've been doing it every 3-4 days try not to mess with them to much other than feeding and wc's.... So I'll get another vid after I spot clean later

Awesome! they're cruising around good now!...soon they're going to be getting noticeably bigger day by day haha. your gonna wake up one morning n think "holy crap! they grew a lot overnight!"
