Pitbulls are the greatest dogs to have in my opinion.
Someone I knew had 2 and they were the sweetest.
First they were illegal here in Holland, but fortunately they got legal a few months ago. I would love to have one, but I know you need to give these dogs a lot of attention, and because I don't have enough time, I don't think it's smart to get one.

nice pups.. why on earth does Chuck weigh so much? Pits are supposed to weigh between 35-50 lbs, 60 is considered a large-ish pittie..
Where did you get him?
look like bandogs of some sort.(mixed with bulldog, mastiffe ect.)

First off I would like to say I love pits and they are beautiful dogs. But just some info for folks who may be interested in getting one. I have had several and have a mix now. His name is Scooby and he is great. Loves the kids and is better with the other dogs now that he is older but can be a grump at times. We believe he is mixed with a Jack Russel yes I said it a jack Russel.

Now for the info I would like to provide.

1. There is no such thing as a bad dog. Just bad owners.
The unfortunate part about this just like other good traits that are bread into dogs the bad traits can come out if you are not aware. I don't know why this works this way but for some reason it does. So if you are planning on getting one get one from a reputable breeder and not a Michael Vic.

They are great companions but need lots of love and attention. Just like any dog they are not for everyone. Just like you wouldn't buy a Giant aro and put it in a 20 gallon tank (well at least we hope not) You don't want a dog that you are not prepared to care for as well.

Research the animal before you buy (dog, bird, fish, reptile etc.) and make sure you are the right owner and can give it what it needs.

Just like Certain fish, a pit is not for beginners along with other more aggressive natured dogs, and I don't exactly mean aggressive in a bad way. They can be thick headed and stubborn leading an untrained owner very angry at the animal.

And again, support your reputable breeders. But if you are into rescues like me just make sure you are up for the task as it can be one at times.

P.S. This is just my humble opinion from my own experiences.
