Pitbulls attack mother, kills child(4 years old)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I do not see a parallel, we are aware of our selves, dogs are not.

do you think a wolf, or a coyote can be trained to be a peace full loving dog?

Hello; I saw a PBS special some years ago about an attempt to domesticate a Russian Silver Fox. I believe The plan was to try to come up with tame silver fox that could be easier to handle and raise for the fur trade. Anyway, they selectively bred foxes for tameness. It worked and they developed a tame variety. The kicker was that the domesticated strain of fox lost the distinctive fur coloration. Here are some links to the experiment. I think the second is the better.

I read about that when they where doing it, did not know the outcome.

So wtf was the point of bringing up wolves, coyotes, fox if it only proves they can be domesticated over time? To prove Pitts can be tamed?

lol, I am thinking thread done? :)

Thinking all sides have been looked at, debated/discussed. and now just beating a dead horse, if you well excuse the metaphor.

Was dead years ago. Lol, this thread took the same course as every other dog bite thread. Only with a couple of new faces. It's the biggest lightning rod left in the lounge since guns/hunting is banned and politics never had a home here.

well of coarse it did. i enjoyed the debate, and as stated we all learned a few things, this has been a "good conversation" to quote the line from the movie, the last samurai.
