A lot of people hate hybrids because they either don't agree with them or they don't understand them. I find it funny people call them unnatural but fail to realize hybridization occurs in nature (although not at the scale you see in commercially sold ones). You soon learn to stand your ground and defend them and ignore all the haters. All I can say is if you are gonna hybridize fish be responsible about.
This op is a fish nazi. Trying to "purge" the hobby of all hybrids. Whats next is he gunna start with humans after the fish? He needs a good "purge" from the site!
Having read this thread completely now I can say two things:
A. The looks like it was cleaned up a bit because I see a few missing posts
B. The op is extremely ignorant. I mean if your fish is very sick, injured badly, or dying I could see the validity in "destroying" it. But to kill a perfectly healthy fish because it is or possibly is a hybrid, that is extremely stupid.
I can agree that buying a Midas or Red Devil and getting a mix of both sucks but it doesn't warrant the genocide of hybrids. If you truly want a pure fish you have to be willing to buy from the right sources.

This is given the fact that there's a lot of inbreeding and irresponsible breeders that simply want certain traits, not healthy genetics. Granted...it's a two way street...incompatible hybrids can also cause problems, so I see no reason for the hatefest on your part against an animal that had no choice about it's existence.
