please help ID fish.

Can any one help me ID my fish.
I bought it as a blue acara from 3/4" its now around 3" really quickly. It does look like a blue acara but its a bit different from pics on the net.

The photos are not the best as the little bugger wont stay still.
Its tail is all red and does not have an orange band on its fin neither.

Also can you tell if its male/female.

Its a Flowerhorn Trimac based I would say.

Looking at some pics of Flowerhorn Trimac, this does look similar to one of those.
It should be OK as it is kept with convicts and Salvini and 2 parrots in a 150g tank.

It is starting to pick on one of my male pink cons chasing it so i am wondering whether this could be male then. Are these much more aggressive than cons

In flowerhorns how do you tell the difference between female/male and how big do they normally grow?

Some may call it a Flowerhorn I call it a hybrid.

Depends on what they have been bred with will determine size.

Cons give as good as they get so should be ok.
