See this pic in the right hand corner ( Looks to be a Mbuna) This could be where the torn fins come from. Not trying to bash the buyer only stand up for myself.

I highly encourage things to be handled in private because this is what happens

I will try to refrain from posting on this thread anymore unless I feel something should be known

Trying to handle this in private is a joke man. Lets both be real here!!!!
I gave you time after time to handle this matter in private.

Just to add my 2 cents with Ick since I've kept PBASS at one point. Just remember that it's not the amount of spots you see on the PBASS that's a concern. That's actually a good thing because you know it's going through it's course. It's when they fall off and become free floating in the tank is when they get inside the fish and attack it's gills & such. The spots is not what's going to kill the fish, again it's when they fall off and hatch. So you need to treat for a few days after once they fall off.

So continue to treat as you are. Don't give up. Keep the temp high w/plenty of O2 and continue with your water change. In addition salt. Make sure to vacuum the bottom to remove any that's already fallen off. I'd remove anything else in the tank that can be causing it to be stressed out any further. Did it arrive with torn fins? Something looks to be beating the crap out of it. Medication I've always used is Aquari-Sol.

High Temp + plenty O2 + Salt - Aquari-Sol - Water change has always worked well for me.

Good luck and hopefully it pulls through. FishinABowl seems to be a stand up seller so hopefully you guys can work it out.

How am I supposed to know how they are being kept if you look in one of the picks it appears to have an African Mbuna in the tank (Could this be banging them up ????) Pictures were taken 3 days after they were received. That is a long time for other tankmates to beat on a fish. I consistently asked what the treatments were and it took several times to get a clear answer. If customer had listened the fish would be OK by now. ( I had several other batches go out and had this exact same case, fish were cleared in 2 days)

I've read through all the post. Not to bash anyone but I want the buyer and seller to be happy. I'm just curious fishinabowl from what you posted you knew the fish had ich before you shipped them?! If thats the case shame on you! I would NEVER send sick fish out to anyone... A vendor should quarantine the fish for at least 2 weeks IMO

Another quote from fishinabowl "My facility is a private closed facility with foot baths, UV and a minimum of 1 week Quarantine on all fish. ( I am not a transhipper and pay dearly for it). What none of you see is the Vendors side and this has quickly gotten out of hand from a simple post on a forum." And on your for sale thread about the kelberi you said you got them in on 12/10/10 correct? So it looks like they were not even quaretine for a week.

another case that could happened is you didnt know they had ich to begin with. The ich probably wasnt so bad yet and you didnt inspect them good enough to see it. With shipping and handling that is a great amount of stress for the fish and the ich could of just spread even faster during transit.

As for mrdee I would really like to see a clearer photo of the fish body and gills. Ich should be easy to treat. But it also depends on the stages of ich. I would do some light feeding for them like maybe a couple minnows and see how they react to it. Alot of good resource out on the web so just do your research.

From what I read my conclusion is for the vendor and buyer to keep in touch and see how the fish progress. If the fish pulls through the vendor
should still refund partial money back as seller sold sick fish. But if the fish dies then a full refund should be given. I wish the best of both of you guys!

Fish did not have Ick when went out, I stated that it was probably a result of the drop in temp even though I used 2 heat packs. Fish became avail on the 10th.

High Temp + plenty O2 + Salt - Aquari-Sol - Water change is what I have been doing and still doing.

This morning I woke up to check on them and their gills are looking pretty weird and bad. Their gills have a ton of white foam and dots on them and their gills are more exposed now.

I AM REALLY STRESSED OUT AND PISSED OFF!!!! No buyer should have to go through this mess right after getting them out of the shipping bag. It is stressful for me and REALLY stressful for the fish.

Thanks for your kind words. I am not on here to be a punk. I am on here posting this to warn others about this vender (FishInABowl) and to be very careful of who you buy your fish from.

FishInABowl posted in his earlier thread that he has a chance of getting in some kelberis on 12-06-10. On 12-10-10 he says they are in his facility now and tells me they are ready. Thats not even a full quarantine. When I got the fish in from UPS, right away I called FishInABowl and told him about the situation. The funny part was, he acted like HE KNEW THEY HAD ICH ALL ALONG!!!!:WHOA::WHOA::WHOA:

He was like, yeah I had a good feeling they had ich. What kind of BS is that???:irked:

ANYONE THAT IS LOOKING TO BUY CICHLAS......PLEASE BUY FROM WELL KNOWN VENDERS.....like SNOOK21, WES, RICH, RAPPS, SHARK!!!!

Kelberis shouldn't be kept with mabunas. If the buyer received these fish 3 days ago and is now asking how to treat iche then it seems to me that the buyer has quite a bit of blame for this case of iche getting out of hand. I'm not not pointing finger at anyone because I don't know the exact facts.

fishinabowl so how many case/fish had this problem with the ich when they received the fish due to drop of temp? By the way how did you packed these fish? How many hrs heat pack did you use? I need to ask these questions to help clear up stuff thanks!
