This is a very awesome thread.

i just recently pick up a pair of albino longfin bushy nose pleco and i've been feeding them tubiflex worms romaine and zuccini is this enough for them?

Nope. Try kensfish food products and add more on their diet. Their commercial foods are affordable and will last you a few months. At the same time, they cater to the needs of your fish.
 
Regarding leaving chunks of vegetable / fruit in the tank for extended periods (overnight? all day?), is this better or worse than leaving in other uneaten food?

Put another way, will uneaten veggies/fruits affect the water differently than other uneaten food?

How long should you leave the veggies/fruits in before taking out what wasn't eaten?

Leave for a day but no longer than that. It is no different to fish foods left uneaten. Vegetable matter will still rot in the water.
 
i agree most uneducated fish poeple would believe plecos only eat algea thats what every body tells every body.

my plec is spoiled he eats the pellets with the other fish he dont even eat algea
 
i jsut looked at the list and i was wondering are red peppers (the non spicy kind) and tomatoes alright? i fed them to my plec before and he really liked em
