  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
oscarlover61898, that's why I'm keeping this thread bumped for awhile. To let everyone know that there is always a chance!

holy anole! I swear thats extraordinary. Well I had a goldfish super dead as a kid once and in water it revived. So I believe it :D glad yours came back from the semi-dead. Lessons well-learned! :D

girl_interrupted, that's a good story =] I was surprised myself!

Plec123, I recognize you! I've read many threads that you've commented on. You seem to know a great deal about pleco's once the pictures are up, maybe you can help me figure out what is wrong with him/her? Thanks!

Have a nice night everyone.

Sorry that the pictures aren't up. I got sick yesterday. I'm still feeling a little under the weather. I'll try to get them up soon!

My Mustang cactus pleco has the same injury for several weeks now.
It's lower tailfin spine is snapped like a match.
The two ends became white and turned brownish this week.
It seems not to be growing together again, but the end part of the spine hasn't come of either. the ends seam to heal and seal themselves off.
But only time will tell!
Update: the end of the broken spine is finally ripped off and the other end is regenerating!
3mm of sharp spine sticking out since the end part came off!:headbang2
If this is really gonna grow back into the long spine it was I'm even more amazed about plecos than I allready was!
Any update on the jumping pleco???
I'm so curious!

Thats a great info. We should keep trying as long as possible.

This is the best story I've ever heard. I was so sad for the "hard as a rock" pleco and then he didn't die! That's really awesome :)
