TetraVeggie Extreme Algae Wafer? Seriously... with that ingredients list...
"Wheat germ meal, feeding oat meal, corn starch, dehulled soybean meal, cellulose, potato protein, dried yeast, wheat gluten..."

The top seven ingredients is crap that fish shouldn't be eating, it's not fish food.

In fact I would have to say TetraVeggie Extreme Algae Wafer is the worst fish food I have ever seen.


I would buy Omega One Wafers, but no local fish places carry it. I bought HBH Algae Grazers.... haven't tested it yet but the main and first ingredient is Spirulina!

hehe... I feed those to my plecos... They LOVE them and now I see why considering they are like junk food. When I run out I'm going to try the ones from AngelsPlus, they look good.

I use NLS brand wafers and they hold up pretty well.

I just bought the NLS 10MM pellets for my plecos , from Mike. It holds it form together really well, plecos really seem to enjoy it along with some of my other mini monsters........... 4 thumbs up for this product

Try Newlife spectrum. They make wafers and their ingredient list is hard to beat.

Wow you are actually endorsing a food product with that ingredients list!!!!! Cough Cough!!! Only one ingredient (and its listed 9th) is even marine/ sea/ aquatic in origin. I would encourage you to read up on fish nutrition and "meal" products as used in pet feeds.

They may be crap but all the other expensive ones I've bought my pleco won't eat. He only gets this about once every two weeks.

I've looked for the Omega One Wafers because I really like their shrimp pellets but my fish store doesn't have them.

Here's what I am feeding:

NLS Algae Wafers
Angelsplus Algae Wafers
Hikari Sinking Wafers
Hikari Algae Wafers
NLS Thera A 3mm sinking pellets
NLS Thera A 1mm sinking pellets

It took a few tries before they accepted the angelsplus but now they love it!
