Ok will do I will add a total of 150 teaspoons 50 per day for 3 days 25 in the morning 25 at night do you think that might work I dissolve it before adding


1 tsp of salt weighs 5.69 grams, therefore 150 weighs 853 grams.
1 gallon of water weighs 3,785 grams, therefore 325 weighs 1,230,259 grams

853 / 1230259 is 0.7 ppm, not the required 3 ppm.


Otoh 10 lbs of salt is 4,536 grams. And that is 3.7 ppm.

Use the amount Duanes posted if you plan to kill the ich using the salt treatment.
 
oh but wont that wipe out my plecos who cost a pretty penny and catfishes loaches and what about my juvie 1" acaras so far its the 5th day for 2 days we've used metlyene blue now switched to ocean free white spot special for 2 days what im thinkingits because my heating is insuficient as up to now i only put 1 300 watts heater now i installed a second 300 watts its not im being hard headed its because i want to save 95-100% of my fish since u know in our part of the philippines no one sells american cichlids which i love for their intelligence they recognize me every time i enter the room they follow me around the tank all my fishes comes from our capital manila and this is not 1 shipment were talking about i got them over a span of 5 months of looking asking buying just hard for me too accept deaths so i just want to give all a fighting chace to survive i read somewhere when used in conjuction with heat method 3 teaspoon per 5 gallon is ok is the article wrong?plus im medicating with ocean free
