Thanks.
Id like to say that in all actuality my new house has a much better setup for a fish room then the old one. Also no one to tell me I can't. Kind of what I was saying earlier.

As for doing the best I can yup always. Like I said it was to be a temporary set up while I moved so I didnt have to get rid of them. But in reality it is a larger "tank" then the 180 and they are happy. I have a better makeshift lid for the moment. Makeshift meaning I dont like it and will improve the design to be more user friendly and aesthetically appealing. Their needs will always come before mine though. So as long as they are healthy and safe I'm good. They spent 4 lid less days and all was good. But I know what they are capable of.

Emotionally I'm a wreck. I am not afraid to say it. Its been a rough couple of years and an even rougher 11 months. But with that said new job! New house! Shoulder is mending probably no surgery. Hand is healing. Oh I didnt tell you? Yeah hurt myself pretty bad moving by myself broke a finger damaged ligaments in my hand, elbow, and shoulder.

Looking up! Fish room before pics. 12" concrete poured floor. Anysize tank I want!
I cant remember the actual room dimensions but I think it was 15×28. View attachment 1395346View attachment 1395347View attachment 1395349
Now that's a fish room and a half! Best of luck!

Aro guys use netting to cover up there large tanks/ponds. Acrylic will eventually warp and glass could be a disaster. GL
Agreed on acrylic. Stuff bends if you look at it too hard. Something I'm looking at using is carpet mesh, the rubber stuff you put under carpets. It's pretty nifty :)

Polycarbonate green house roofing. It wont warp, has 98% light transmission, fairly easy to cut, I can stand on it (on the ground) and it doesnt crush its double walled. I made lids originally for the 180 out of it and used those and the leftovers to create the first top that wast to say the least haphazard.

You get that from lowes or home depot? I've been considering making my lids out of that.

Alright just a little update vid. Waterchange style! Everyone is happy and healthy!

Still not done with the plant shelf.....
Its fun to watch them swim especially the ropes. The ropes are all calm and just lift their heads out of the water and you can hear them take a breath. They are very active too more so then in the 180.
they definitely look like they are loving all the space to wiggle.
