Ornates for all intensive purposes are Lower jaws in the size dept.

I took the ornates back. It was getting painful watching the big one sneak up on the little one, give it a nip and then blindly chase it through the tank.

I was able to find three palmas that are all the same size at about 6". I put them in the tank yesterday and they've barely moved. I'm hoping they get a bit more active.

I may also be able to get a few WC retropinnis next weekend.

Palmas are hiders. Pretty much just sit and or hide. Not sure on retros i don't have one.....yet. Butts are the same hide all day. Polli, sens, dels out most of the time and active.

Pollis are the ones known to be active... the Palmas not as much.

Sorry you had to return the ornates. You might build up your smaller crew first and then add a smaller ornate later on... that might help even out the size and maybe prevent aggression a bit more if everyone else is established?

Thanks for the responses!

*!#$& I wish I'd realized the palmas were logs. I may end up taking them back too and see if I can get sens and delhezi. The only sens I've been seeing are the albinos. Not sure I want those.

Anyone have experience with retropinnis activity level?

Pretty sure those are not palmas. Not to sure what they are. Maybe sens? They look out of proportion though almost like a lj species. Hard to tell. Any close ups?
