Quit derailing this thread trying to argue your theory darius. This thread was about platinums and you saw it said ansorgii so you had to throw in your same opinion to start a fight, we know how you feel so if you can contribute why not refrain from posting

Someone new to bichirs who only a short time ago was asking for very basic advice or a longer term member who has owned all of the fish he talks about. I think someone that has ansorgii and pbb variants can provide better insight that reads a few papers and has it figured out
I do enjoy debate and different opinions however but not at the expense of constantly derailing threads. Start your own and keep at that.

My apologies, judging by your earlier posts it appeared that you new to bichirs
My recomendations would be to start a new thread, perhaps "revised taxonomy of polypterus" and have it as a debate thread limited to relevant science and experiances
