Polypterus or Clown Knife?

Well I could probably get multiple Poly and get away with it Do have to keep the loaches in mind, considering they are my #1's Was at my not so local store and fell in love with a Jurenese Catfish .. but figured long term would be a terrible idea lol.

I dunno - my ck would take food from my hand. Guess it depends on each fish. I vote for a clown knife, though one may grow fast enough so that it might try eat your clown loaches depending on their size.

Polys look better in groups. And since you're limited to one...I'd go with a CK, but a Poly will definitely give more of a "creep" factor.

I keep both Polypterus and Clown Knife, both are very enjoyable, but the bichirs are more active, more fun to watch, better personality.

I'm with Jakob. A CK was my first fish ever, so it's got a special place in my heart, but if I HAD to choose between a poly (especially nice ones like endlis, ornates, delhezis, etc.) and a knife, I'd go with the poly.

Looking for a more "oddball" fish for my 220. Current stock is 3 Datnoids, 7 Clown Loaches, and will be a Flagtail if I can ever find one...

Just would like something a little more out of the ordinary to join my buddies, and am sort of limited to only one "creepy" looking fish according to the wife
