pool filter sand?

allright read through th wole sand vs bare bottom thread and didnt get nuthing out of it.


so is pool filter sand ok for rays?

I use quartz pool filter sand with my rays and it's fine.

Ive used it two times. I dont like it cause it can irritate the rays belly's. And its so fine. that a lot of times it will stock to the ray. I like Estes cause its a larger sand pieces.

None of the pool filter sand that I've used is fine. It's more like crushed gravel. Play sand is horrible, but pool filter sand is great. Maybe you got a crappy supplier?

I have been using pool filter sand. by hth and it is great no problems. I have heard good and bad. I have tried it and no probelm
