You are keeping fish in a small glass box but catch and release sport fishing should be outlawed??? :screwy:

It is best to be consistent with ones thinkings....

the fish in my glass boxes are healthy and not injured or stressed.. can't say that for the poor souls they drop back into the lakes and rivers after they stick them with hooks and rip the hooks out with pliers.

I would bet that an equal number of fish are stressed and injured by bad aquarist than by fishermen. How do you think your aquarium fish made it to your house? How far across the country or world did those fish travel in a bag getting bounced around through customs? Those ones suffering in badly maintained aquariums will have a lifetime of stress and injury; the ones caught fishing will have it momentarily, and then be released back to their large and natural home…..

If you handle the fish properly and with care, in either fishing or aquaria, there is nothing wrong with either!

And as you can see I am a proponent of both, and I try to do both as well as I can....
