Thing with hybrid rays is they may look amazing but there is no gaurantee their offspring will have the same pattern / quality or even come close. At least with high end BD's, marbles, etc you know the pups will turn out amazing. Sure there may be that one in a hundred throw back that you can get with any species of animal, but you can pretty much gaurantee the pups will turn out top notch. I've seen some pretty amazing ray hybrids produce bland offspring and vice versa. I agree with Doyboy that you need to see the parent of the hybrid to see their quality. At least if they are top quality, you have a better chance of getting a nicer hybrid. Other thing I noticed is that hybrid rays change their patterns quite a bit as they mature. A young stunner could turn bland when older and an ugly duckling can grow up to be a beautiful swan. That is the one thing that makes hybrids interesting.
