MrsE88 MrsE88 do you still have your Oscar? If so any current pics, it's so cute.

Sadly no. I only had her for a couple months. I lost her to an ammonia spike. I got impatient and put her in her new tank before it was fully cycled:( One of my biggest beginner mistakes I made. She was so awesome. She was eating from my hand after only a week.

Sad to hear that, Oscars hold special place on my heart. My mother had monster tank with 5 of them in it when I was kid. Sadly tho we lost them all to fire.

Heres a sneak peek at my new little buddy
Meet Juan Carlos Montafhon the Third
(Had to give him Spanish name right since it's a wild caught Columbian Oscar from The Wet Spot)

Love the copper color in his fins, hope it stays, only time will tell. (Crosses fingures)

Nice,
Nice, gotta love the wild ones. He's not in the tank with your large albino is he? Looks bite-sized hah

No no he is in the 29gal for a month, he is bite size only 1.5in now. Already getting to know me by swimming to the front glass /begging for food whenever I get near it. Growing him out to eventually move in with Toni.
My JDs are going on a plane flight in a couple weeks. Jhook is starting a platinum JD project. I said he can have some of my JDs fry, well I am just going to give him the parent's instead. They don't really suite the kind of fish I enjoy. Hide a bit to much, and easily startled.
That will free up a 55gal to grow him out in.
And final good news, if Craigslist don't fail me next month I will have a 6ft tank for Toni and him to move into(after he grows out some).
